Information from provider

ProviderHelene Gilgenkrantz
Provider affiliationEndocrinology Metabolism Cancer, Institut Cochin INSERM U567
Genetic informationAdditive transgenic mouse strain expressing the human Bcl-2 cDNA under the regulatory sequences of the rat L-pyruvate kinase promoter. The expression of the transgene is mainly in the liver, kidney and intestine and weakly in pancreas.
Phenotypic informationNo phenotype at quiescent stage but a protection against liver apoptosis, ischemia reperfusion lesions and mitochondrial dysfunction.
Breeding historyMore than 30 backcrosses to C57BL/6 background.
