Genetic informationTransgenic mice overexpressing the full coding sequence of mouse placenta growth factor (PlGF) under the control of human keratin 14 promoter .
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Homozygous mice were never obtained by crossing heterozygous mice.

Heterozygous:
Heterozygous transgenic mice manifest a strong increase in the number, branching and size of dermal blood vessels as well as enhanced vascular permeability.
Breeding historyFor generating transgenic mice, fertilized oocytes were obtained from a (C57BL/6 x DBA/2) mouse cross. Transgenic lines were established on a B6D2F1 background, by crossing heterozygous mice (Tg/+) with B6D2F1 wt mice.
