Genetic information | The cDNA encoding human KCNIP3 (DREAM) with two amino-acid substitutions at EF-hands 2, 3 and 4 (EFmDREAM) was inserted downstream of the human CaMKIIalpha promoter in a bicistronic expression vector containing an IRES and the lacZ reporter gene. The transgene cassette was microinjected into the pronuclei of one-cell embryos (B6CBAF2) and maintained as hemizygotes in mixed B6CBA background. |
Phenotypic information | High transgene expression. Brain, immune system and reproductive system, expression detected throughout the entire spinal cord. The presence of lacZ reporter gene cassette within these transgenes makes them prone to display alterations in the expected gene expression pattern and levels. |
Breeding history | Maintained in mixed B6CBA background. |
