This course teaches considerations and best practice when collecting blood and urine samples from mice for routine diagnostic purposes (e.g. haematology, clinical chemistry and immunoassays), methods of sample collection, sample processing and how to avoid artefacts.

After the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the key considerations when collecting blood and urine samples from mice
  • Understand how to preserve sample quality / integrity for standard diagnostic processes
  • Create awareness of common artefacts and how to identify and avoid them
