Recognising Tissues and Artefacts in Histological Sections

This course will cover how to recognise normal mouse tissues and common artefacts in H&E histological sections. Aimed at research staff, technical staff, students and medical or veterinary pathology trainees with no or limited experience of evaluating tissue sections using a light microscope.

Following the course, you will be able to:

  • Use a light microscope to examine H&E sections
  • Evaluate tissue sections using a light microscope
  • Recognise the major tissues in histological sessions
  • Recognise common artefacts and their causes in histological sessions
