17th Transgenic Technology Meeting as a Hybrid Event in Helsinki

The 17th Transgenic Technology Meeting (TT2022), organized by the International Society of Transgenic Technology (ISTT) will take place on 17 – 20 September 2022 in Helsinki, Finland. These meetings have had a long-standing tradition in showcasing the latest advancements in animal transgenesis and their application in experimental models in biology, medicine and biotechnology.

Satu Kuure and Reetta Hinttala are the local organisers of the event. Reetta Hinttala, tenure track professor at the University of Oulu, is the head of the Finnish EMMA node and a very active member of the INFRAFRONTIER consortium. Members of the INFRAFRONTIER GmbH team have submitted an abstract and will be present at the conference with a poster or talk. Several key partners from the INFRAFRONTIER will also be present at the event.

As a hybrid meeting, attendees can attend on-site with option to view sessions remotely. The conference will start late afternoon on 17 September with a welcome address followed by a Keynote lecture by Kari Alitalo. Some of the main sessions of the conference include advances of in vivo genome editing, animal models: from bench to bedside, animal ethics and 3Rs, cancer, non-mammalian models and emerging technologies. World-leading experts in biomedical research like Thorsten Buch, Philip W Jordan, Elizabeth Lacy, Vootele Voikar are confirmed to share the latest research at the event.
