EMMA partners offer a total of 3 cryocourses in autum 2015
- University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Cryo & Embryo Transfer Course, September 7-11, 2015
- MRC Harwell Cryocourse, September 21-24, 2015
- CNR Monterotondo, Workshop on Cryopreservation and Recovery Techniques in the Laboratory Mouse, November 16-20, 2015
The courses intend to give animal technologists hands-on experience of the murine embryo and spermatozoa freezing techniques routinely used within EMMA. Participants will gain first-hand experience in following techniques:
- Cryopreservation of mouse embryos produced in vivo or in vitro
- Cryopreservation of mouse spermatozoa, and their recovery by in vitro fertilisation
- Thawing and use of cryopreserved embryos
- Shipping frozen, unfrozen embryos and spermatozoa
