Genetic informationLoxl2 constitutive knock-in. Loxl2 cDNA followed by a GFP reporter gene and an upstream PGK-neo cassette flanked by two LoxP sites were introduced by homologous recombination in the endogenous Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Homozygous males were sterile in almost 100% of the cases, in the studied genetic background, due to epididymal and testicular dysfunction.

Heterozygous:
Normal
Breeding historyES clones positive for the mutation were microinjected/aggregated into receptive blastocysts/morula and chimeras were obtained. These animals were crossed with cre recombinase-positive mice in order to check germline transmission and, at the same time, obtain animals constitutively expressing extra amounts of Loxl2. The resultant heterozygous animals were intercrossed and homozygous animals harboring two Loxl2 over-expression alleles were obtained.

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen embryos. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
