Information from provider
Provider | Kamel Benlagha |
Provider affiliation | INSERM |
Genetic information | The mice are doubly deficient for the Ccr6 and Itgae (common name CD103) genes by disruption caused by an insertion of a vector containing a bacterial LacZ and a neomycin resistance gene, respectively, in the endogenous genes. |
Phenotypic information | Homozygous null mice have decreased inflammatory responses, aberrant trafficking of lymphocytes and dendritic cells, and decreased expression of many inflammatory mediators. They also exhibit reductions in the numbers of intestinal and vaginal intraepithelial lymphocytes and of T lymphocytes of the lamina propria. |
Breeding history | Mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J for more than 10 generations and are maintained as homozygotes. |
