Provider affiliationInstitut Curie
Phenotypic informationSeveral distinct chromosomal segments were identified by cosegregation analysis of polymorphic markers with antibody responsiveness in an F2 cross between high (H) and low (L) antibody responder lines of Biozzi mice. The effect associated with the relevant markers has been investigated in backcross populations (toward the L line) bred from H and L mice made coisogenic at the H-2 locus. Mice were individually tested for immune phenotype: antibody titres against SRBC (sheep red blood cells), at different times after optimal immunization. Four successive backcrosses to L line were analysed for 17 microsatellite markers and for antibody responsiveness. The LcH 8-60 strain has the chromosomal region flanked by D8Mit88, D8Mit35 and D8Mit42 microsatellites (at 58, 60 and 71 cM, respectively).

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
