Genetic informationThe Anxa10-CreERT2 transgenic mice express a tamoxifen inducible Cre recombinase driven by the annexin A10 (Anxa10) promoter. Mice were generated via homologous recombination by inserting a CreERT2 cassette with a Neomycin resistance cassette flanked by FRT sites after the last exon (12) in the Anxa10 locus. Anxa10 is a stomach specific protein which is expressed in all cells of the stomach epithelium.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Homozygous Anxa10-CreERT2 mice are phenotypically unaffected.

Heterozygous:
Heterozygous Anxa10-CreERT2 mice are phenotypically as wild-type mice.
Breeding historyThe mice were generated with Bruce4 ES cells that have a C57BL/6-Thy1.1 background. The ES cells were transplanted in mice with C57BL/6J background. Offsprings were bred to FlpO mice with C57BL/6J background to remove the neo cassette. From then on mice were crossed as sib-matings for 16 generations (F16).
