Phenotypic information | Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) plays a critical role in anti-tumor activity and proinflammatory actions. Tnf-/- mice are generated by a targeted mutation of the Tnf gene (insertion of a PGK-neo cassette and acquisition of a novel BamHI site). Tnf-/- mice develop normally and exhibit no consistent histological or morphological abnormalities. Sex ratios, litter size and weight gain of Tnf-/- mice are similar to Tnf+/+ littermates. |
